Spencer Alexander

Spencer Alexander has always been interested in art from.a young age. Growing up along the Wasatch front in Utah gave him ample opportunity to get in the outdoors. The first beginning of his art was rendered in graphite. As the teenage years came along he dabbled in complex ink stippling of dinosaur life. Then shortly after he picked up an airbrush. Then he was working on murals and large scale paintings. Then in Spencer's twenties his father lent him some books on fish carving. As time went on the carvings became more complex and the airbrush was dropped in favor of a much more traditional means. All of Spencer's creations are now solely painted by hand with brushes and acrylic paints. His sculptures are now completely hand painted,vibrant works of art. Spencer spends a large amount of time collecting the necessary reference to duplicate the accuracy and beauty of our natural world.
